ABENA erweitert Sortiment an Inkontinenzprodukten mit Umweltzeichen

Die von ABENA selbst hergestellten Premiumprodukte Abri-Flex und ABENA Pants wurden mit dem Nordic Swan Ecolabel ausgezeichnet.
ABENA’s own premium products Abri-Flex and ABENA Pants have received the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is renowned for strict requirements for environment, health, and quality, and include a thorough assessment of a product’s overall impact on the climate.
Being awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel is a long process that requires a great amount of documentation and a high level of transparency in the production process. For that reason, products with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel are considered to be among the best in their category.
Requirements for products with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel include:
- Tough environmental standards in all relevant phases of a product’s lifecycle.
- Minimal use of raw materials in the production phase.
- Minimal use of chemicals in the product.
- Use of water-based colorants that are not damaging to the environment or reproduction.
Receiving the highly coveted ecolabel means that Abri-Flex and ABENA Pants now join the long list of already eco-labeled premium incontinence products produced at ABENA’s own factories. This includes the Abri-San, ABENA Light, Abri-Form, ABENA Slip, Abri-Man/ABENA Man, and Abri-Let ranges.
Adding Abri-Flex and ABENA Pants to the list of products with environmental labels is a part of ABENA’s global strategy to provide a broader assortment of eco-certified products.
ABENA’s long-lived journey with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel
Being able to offer sustainable products from a responsible production is not new to ABENA. ore than 20 years ago, ABENA became the first manufacturer of incontinence products and baby diapers in the world to receive the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.
Today, ABENA is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of ecolabeled absorbent hygiene products and you can find ecolabels on 80% of ABENA’s own produced incontinence products and baby diapers.
Abri-Flex and ABENA Pants
Abri-Flex and ABENA Pants are part of ABENA’s premium range of incontinence pull-ups. Being discrete, super soft, and fully breathable, Abri-Flex and ABENA Pants are preferred products among people with an active lifestyle who are self-reliant in relation to product changes and toilet visits.
While both products can be worn as normal underwear, Abri-Flex is used for moderate to heavy incontinence, and ABENA Pants for light to moderate incontinence.
Both products are dermatologically tested and made from FSCTM certified materials*.
